SCARLET UNION VENTURES, powered by LOUD Capital, is a for-profit fund, and not affiliated with or officially sanctioned by OSU. However, our passion for OSU is what drives us to invest in our community of current and future OSU alumni leaders.

ABOUT SCARLET UNION VENTURES

SCARLET UNION VENTURES is a community of venture capitalists, alumni, donors, faculty, staff, entrepreneurs, angel investors, and business executives focused on investing in companies started by people with a meaningful connection to OSU.

We’ve invested in over 20 startups in just the past two years, many with strong ties to Columbus, and founded by OSU Alumni. Through these investments, we’ve learned how to identify the smart, innovative entrepreneurs making bold bets and creating movements (like Hot Chicken Takeover), then amplifying their likelihood of success by providing them with the support they need throughout their entire lifecycles.

Our goal with SCARLET UNION VENTURES is to leverage our success at LOUD Capital by focusing on investing in the most promising entrepreneurs with connections to OSU.

We do have the largest and greatest alumni network and we want to leverage that for OSU alumni who want to solve big problems and drive our future.

Columbus startups need seed badly. There are a few VCs in the area – Rev1, Drive, and LOUD Capital are names you hear often – but like most smaller markets the drive to fund smaller startups is negligible. LOUD, a startup itself, is the closest to an on-the-ground seed group . . .
